Hong Kong Newspaper reports, Hong Kong held the first sea burial memoir recently. The attendees included Catholic, Christian, Buddhist, and non religion people. Christian’s family invited priest to preside this ceremony, and this sea burial has gained most people’s satisfaction.

Sea burial is a kind of funeral reformation. Protection environment is more and more important in the world, sea burial could decrease cutting forest and earth occupation. According to local tradition, the duration of keeping a corpse is 7 years, after that, the corpse have to be transferred to another place, so the cost of burial is much more than sea burial, which only costs around 1900 USD including cremation fee, grinding fee and boat renting fee. 4 people could company with the ashes scattering, 19 USD for extra person.
